CCD CCD (Charged Coupled Device)

TTID has been a pioneer in developing CCD-based identification systems for more than 20 years. This technology uses electronic components with opto-electrical sensors. The CCD’s are positioned next to each other so that the code is scanned photographically line by line.

2D Codes: QR Code®

In 1994, building on its years of experience in CCD technology, TTID developed a special two-dimensional code: the so-called QR Code®. QR stands for Quick Response, describing the extremely rapid decoding of information. The QR Code® can include up to 2000 characters and yet only needs 10 percent of the area required by standard barcodes. QR Code ® is registered trademark of DENSO WAVE Incorporated in JAPAN and other countries.

RFID (Radio Frequency Identification)

TTID places its trust in RFID: the identification technology of the future. With RFID, data can be read and stored without contact. The memory medium is a so-called RFID Tag or RFID Ticket. The RFID Tag consists of an antenna, an analogue circuit for transmitting and receiving (transponder), and a digital circuit for storing the information. The BHT-1200QULWB, for example, has a special module that can be used for RFID. Mobile data capture has now reached a new standard for transport, logistics or food management.

Barcode

TTID barcode scanners and terminals are state-of-the-art technology. The barcode does not include any descriptive data, but a varying number of numbers or characters depending on the kind of barcode. During the optical reading, the light source from the scanner is absorbed by the dark lines, while the light spaces are reflected. The data captured in this manner is decoded, converted into a traditional format and transmitted to a computer.

Windows® CE.NET

The latest developments are always included: thanks to the user-friendly Windows® CE.Net user interface the data can be easily and rapidly downloaded onto the TTID mobile data capturing device from the company’s internal IT system – and vice-versa.

Bluetooth®, Infrared, USB

TTID data capturing devices use the latest techniques for transmitting data via Bluetooth®, infrared or USB. Bluetooth® is a standard for wireless data transfer. The data is transmitted using radio waves, whereby there need not be a direct visual line between the devices. Infrared is a standard for optical wireless transmission. USB has become established as the standard interface for connecting external devices to a computer. The advantage is in simple handling and high transfer rates.

Android™

DENSO WAVE also offers Android™ devices in its product portfolio. The user interface is easy to operate, very intuitive and already familiar to many smartphone users. This makes for a short training session for employees who have to use a data capture device.
