The BHT-S40 makes mobile data capture easier than ever before: its shape, size and weight have been selected to ensure maximum convenience and user-friendliness. The built-in DENSO Scan Engine also ensures a scanning performance that outshines everything that has gone before - whether in terms of speed, accuracy or performance - and makes the data capture process child's play.

User-friendly design.
When developing the BHT-S40, DENSO WAVE had one aspect very clearly in focus: the user! Quite a few applications in which a mobile computer is used are lengthy, such as inventories. The speed factor is often added to this: each scan must be perfectly seated and quick to perform for a smooth process without interruptions. A good scan engine is therefore indispensable. But even the best scanning performance in the world is of no use if the device itself is heavy to hold, impractical and the user even has to perform acrobatic feats with his hands to trigger the scan process.
The mobile data capture devices of the BHT-S40 series take all these aspects into account. Weighing in at just 260g, the BHT-S40 weighs only a small amount, allowing for long, fatigue-free work. Thanks to the ergonomic shape of the handle, the device nestles ideally in the hand. The trigger buttons for initiating a scan are also positioned on the handheld terminal in such a way that the user can operate them easily with a natural movement and without contortions.
The BHT-S40 thus becomes a natural extension of the hand.

The BHT-S40 series mobile computers are equipped with a DENSO-manufactured scan engine that easily captures even the most difficult codes. Whether poorly printed, bent or smeared codes - the BHT-S40 data capture devices recognize even the toughest cases. Even reflective surfaces are no longer a problem thanks to the 40° scan angle.
High reading speed.
In a fast-moving world where time equals money, the speedy capture and availability of data is essential: whether in warehouse and delivery management or in retail. It is therefore essential to ensure high performance in the reading speed of mobile data capture devices. In this category, the BHT-S40 devices excel thanks to the powerful scan engine that reads codes 30 times a second. This strength is particularly evident in warehouse management: the high speed at which a code is correctly captured allows the user to scan multiple codes one after the other in one fluid motion (trace scanning), instead of the usual stop-and-go scanning.
DENSO Operating System.
The BHT-S40 devices are equipped with an operating system developed specifically for data capture processes: the DENSO OS. Unlike third-party or open systems operating systems, the DENSO-OS is specifically tailored to applications related to data acquisition. This creates maximum reliability and smooth operation.
Another advantage: users receive support for both hardware and software directly from a single source - DENSO!
Also accessible to users with red-green deficiency.
The color scheme of the LEDs and function keys is designed so that even users with red-green deficiency can easily distinguish the individual keys.
