Overview

ORiN2 SDK is a "PC integration middleware" for software development based on the "ORiN" standard middleware specification for factory information systems.

With this middleware, users can control various automation devices and develop equipment information acquisition systems by using common computer programming languages.
In addition, this middleware has development assistance functions to realise connection with various automation devices and integration with other communication standards.

Provision of standard interfaces

To facilitate the system development of systems that support distributed object technologies (such as DCOM, SOAP), two types of standard interfaces are provided: for applications and for devices.

Reuse of applications

By providing a common gateway for different communication specifications, the reusability of existing applications is improved.

Options for development tools

OLE (COM, Active-X) supported development tools are available.
