Development-friendly programming language
Using a Microsoft MS-BASIC-based BASIC language that is ideal for handheld scanners, this development package for barcode readers provides unique functions at a simple command. Included in the package are commands and functions that are used exclusively for barcode reading and data transmission. Since this BHT-BASIC works in an interpreter environment, reliable operation is achieved without expected errors such as crashes or memory data loss due to possible programming errors.
Wide range of data file sizes
The size of data files has been expanded to accommodate large amounts of data.
- Maximum number of data records: Increased from 32,767 to 2G (corresponds to a maximum number of long integers)
- Maximum record length: Increased from 255 bytes to 65,535
- Size of field variables: Increased from 255 to 8,192 characters (corresponds to the maximum length of a string)
- Number of fields : Increased from 16 fields to 254
Extended variable types
To gain access to a large amount of memory, the variable types are extended. You can use extended versions of variables on the mobile data capture devices.
- Support of long integers
- The maximum length of strings is increased from 255 to 8,192 characters.
Extended variable range/validity period
The validity range of a variable, i.e. the range in which the variable can be referenced, has been extended so that it can be defined explicitly (PUBLIC statement). In addition, it is possible to define the validity period of each variable or a period in which the variable remains valid in the user-defined function (DIM, PRIVATE and STATIC statements).

Memory: Memory required for normal operation of the above operating system.
