Device Management System (DMS) for BHT terminals
DMS manages all BHT units conveniently from one computer.
DENSO's Device Management System, or DMS for short, saves your employee responsible for managing your BHT devices time, money and nerves. Because instead of having to manage each handheld terminal individually, with DMS he has all BHT devices under control from the comfort of his computer.
DMS bundles the information of all devices connected to the programme centrally in the system and lists them clearly: The person responsible for your BHT can call up the battery status or memory usage of all devices conveniently on the DMS interface. Applications or the operating system no longer have to be installed individually, which is time-consuming, but can be distributed simultaneously to all devices via the device management system and updated at an individually predefined time if required. And in the event of theft, he can lock the corresponding device via DMS and thus prevent possible data misuse.

Creates transparency.
Keep an eye on battery status, storage capacity, application information and more - all from the comfort of your desk. DMS clearly lists every mobile data capture device connected to the system and divides your company's device inventory into groups for better management. If the battery level or memory capacity is below a pre-set value, the device management system triggers a warning message.
Increases security.
Protects against theft: In the DMS mask, the user can define an area in which each mobile computer may be located. If a device leaves this area, which can be detected by GPS, the Device Management System triggers a warning message. The user can thus identify a possible theft and lock the corresponding mobile device or reset it to factory settings.
Communicates smartly.
The Device Management System has a messaging function that allows the user to send text messages to one or more mobile computers simultaneously. If the situation requires it, e.g. in the event of a malfunction, this allows the DMS user to contact and assist the relevant staff member. The system also indicates whether the message has been read.
Distributes and updates software.
With DMS, software no longer has to be laboriously installed on each mobile data capture device individually. The DMS user can easily distribute software to one or more mobile devices simultaneously. Updates can also be carried out at scheduled times and, if necessary, on several mobile computers at the same time. This makes it easier to plan for device downtime.
