DENSO's BHT-1300 handheld terminal has now been introduced in Slovenian libraries, impressing with its stability and speed in everyday business.

A Slovenian system integrator has introduced DENSO's handheld terminal BHT-1300 with Windows OS operating system in Slovenian libraries. There, the software application "Library Intelligence" was developed, especially for inventories, which DENSO's BHT-1300 can adopt as an existing software application. This software application communicates with the library software system "Cobiss", which is mainly used in Slovenian and Eastern European libraries, such as in Serbia, Bosnia or Bulgaria. In the Slovenian libraries, the BHT-1300 handheld terminal from DENSO and the "Library Intelligence" application designed for it are now helping to achieve an enormous increase in efficiency.

Whereas the inventory in the libraries used to take days without mobile data capture, the book inventory is now captured within just a few hours with the help of the BHT-1300. This provides enormous cost and time savings. In a previous test to determine which scanner or handheld terminal for mobile data capture is best suited for a book inventory, the DENSO device prevailed over competing products. On the one hand, this was due to the three-year warranty guaranteed by DENSO, and on the other hand, it was also due to the compactness, robustness and mobility of the handheld terminal. The ultra-light weight - the BHT-1300 weighs only 188 grams - enables convenient registration of the entire book inventory in Slovenian libraries, which can be easily registered through the 2 GB memory.

DENSO's BHT-1300 series handheld terminals offer the most reliable mobile data capture. The 2D model reads barcodes in any direction, from any angle. The high-brilliance QVGA LCD display ensures absolutely clear and easy readability. A wide viewing angle also means that the BHT-1300's display is easy to read even in bright sunlight. The design is flatter, smaller and lighter and despite the compact size, the functional design ensures long and comfortable operation. The devices have enough memory space of 2 GB. This can be expanded up to 32 gigabytes through a micro-SHDC card. In addition, the BHT-1300 can be used in an operating range of -20 to +50 degrees Celsius. This handheld terminal from DENSO also impresses with its durability and robustness and can withstand drops from a height of 1.2 meters.
