DENSO WAVE EUROPE is committed to more sustainability and has recently planted various coniferous and deciduous trees with PLANT-MY-TREE®. Thus, an active contribution was made to improving environmental conditions. The trees were planted on a total area of 67 hectares in Lüdenscheid.
PLANT-MY-TREE® has been carrying out reforestation projects throughout Germany for 15 years. DENSO WAVE EUROPE has now joined in and is creating a new natural habitat for insects and other animals under the mottos "Every tree counts" and "Climate protection is fun". Particular importance is attached to a high level of biodiversity, which is also the reason why a small mixed forest of sycamore maple, copper beech and oak will be created thanks to DENSO's support.
Important steps towards more climate protection: ECO VISION 2025
With this tree planting campaign, DENSO WAVE EUROPE has taken a step towards more sustainability - and that is just the beginning. As part of the company-wide ECO VISION 2025 campaign, DENSO wants to set a good example through its own actions to protect the earth and combat climate change.
ECO VISION 2025 is a plan in which concrete goals are formulated that DENSO wants to achieve. As a company, we want to reduce our own negative contribution to global environmental pollution as much as possible. The explicit goals are to reduce energy consumption by 50 percent and to double both "clean" and "green" measures. The targets cover the company's product and production divisions as well as its employees and management.
For example, paper is to be further saved. As the inventor of the QR code, DENSO will in future provide information on its auto-ID solutions and mobile computers for scanning in the form of various QR codes instead of printed brochures, thus not only ensuring greater sustainability, but also taking an important step on the path to greater digitalisation. Other measures include actions such as planting trees with PLANT-MY-TREE®, reducing the personalCO2 footprint through an environmentally friendly vehicle fleet, or even developing new, more environmentally friendly technologies. So DENSO still has a lot of plans until 2025 - and is constantly working on its own contribution to more climate protection.
