QR Code® based face recognition
Face authentication at access control points using encrypted QR code.
With our QR Code®-based facial recognition solution, you can take advantage of facial authentication at access points or for verification in security-sensitive processes without having to rely on databases: thanks to the Secure QR Code, or SQRC® for short. This encrypted 2D code stores a person's facial characteristics, which are then matched via camera at the access control or verification point with the face of the person requesting access.
Step 1 In the first step, the so-called Face SQRC® is generated, i.e. the code on which the facial data is stored. To do this, a photo of the face is taken or the ID card is scanned using the "Face Photo" software and the appropriate reader (e.g. the FC1 passport reader). The Face SQRC® Generation SDK application is then used to create the Face SQRC®, which is then sent to your customer or employee and can be used practically like a security pass.
Step 2 At the access control point, the person requesting access places the Face SQRC® with your stored facial features on the reader (e.g. the QK30 scanner). Using the camera and the Face SQRC® Verification SDK for Windows or Android, the person's face is matched with the stored facial data on the Face SQRC® and their identity is verified. The authentication process is completely offline. User data can only be retrieved via SDK.
The Secure QR Code is an in-house development of our Standard QR Code®. Visually, it is similar to the standard QR Code®. But it can store two types of data: public data that can be read by any conventional reader. And non-public data that can only be read by specific readers with the right encoding key.

Face SQRC Generation License (Android/Windows) This license is needed in customer application for generating a Face SQRC. Each device requires one license.
