Forstinger is a large Austrian retailer of automotive accessories with 88 stores nationwide. Employees also provide customer service and maintenance in 86 of the company's workshops. For Forstinger, everything revolves around the topic of mobility - and is reinforced by mobile data collection. That's because Forstinger has optimized its processes in the branches and workshops with DENSO and partner Barcotec. DENSO's BHT-1800 mobile computer and a mobile device management (MDM) system from Barcotec are used.

The BHT-1800 convinced Forstinger in crucial points: haptics and ergonomics, connectivity to the existing ERP system, reading of codes, and after-sales service.

The combination of DENSO's BHT-1800 and Barcotec's MDM enables Forstinger's IT team to access and centrally manage all devices in the branches and workshops as well as in logistics at any time. The resulting time savings also count towards the optimization of existing processes at the car accessories chain store. The cloud solution from Barcotec was even awarded the "Ö-Cloud-Siegel" by the Austrian Federal Ministry for Digitalization.

In addition, Forstinger employees use the BHT-1800 in the stores for classic store processes, such as inventories and reorders. In the workshops, the mobile computers are mainly used for work recording and replenishing spare parts.

All in all, they decisively enable more digitization in the company and, as multifunction devices, offer long-term and sustainable investment protection.
